The BiG Pack

Packing for
Too much, and I’ll have to haul it, post it back or give it away. Which is not a travesty just a plain waste of money.
I’ve compiled a list of what I wish to take. But, it has been said in dark circles: “gatherer all you wish to take, then pack 10% of it, as that’s all you’ll ever need”! I could well be hearing this ringing in my ears at a later date!
Anything with a line through I’ve already ditched before leaving home or onroute.
Bike also needed a good wash before packing as New Zealand immigration control will be taking it away for their own wash procedure.

Not quite sure as to how much stuff I’ll need, but going by what I read in other cycling blogs, minimal is the name of the game. Then I think, that will be useful or this will come in handy! So I feel it’s better to discard something or give it away than be in a situation that I so wish I had that thingy etc.

I know its been a while.. but how did you find the rest raps for touring? I am thinking of moving to them from old style Christophe clip. Cheers.

Blimey, I’ve not looked at this post for some time! How much kit have I got there?

Now you mention it, I never used them. Sitting in a draw at home after posting them back from NZ. I took them thinking my SPD’s might fail and these were backup, SPD’s will last!

I’ve kept them though as they’re very well made and would make excellent toe straps in the future.

    Good bit of kit 🙂

I look forward to your comments
